DTC Mobile - Ego

As promised in my post entitled - Featured: DTC Mobile, I will start reviewing the phones one by one. I listed four mobile phone models exclusively by DTC Mobile and I will start reviewing DTC - Ego. 

 First, you'd be attracted to the box where the phone was placed - it was very colorful and the sort that teens/young adults would love. I used this phone right after the package arrived - I certainly liked the fact that the keypad is the QWERTY type and it was a lot bigger in width than the other phones. So, getting past that, here are the contents of the colorful box:

Like I said, the it's a qwerty-type of phone with rubber keypad - so basically it's very comfortable to use. It's  also a plus point that the box came with keypad covers in 2 more colors - red and purple! So I can change the keypad covers whenever I want to. 

What I totally love about this phone is that it has a 2.2 inch LCD which allows me to watch TV! Yes, it's also a TV Phone and has an antenna attached to it which you can basically adjust depending on the signal available in the area. When my mom's dominating the TV at home, I usually use DTC Ego to watch TV in the comforts of my room :)

The phone has a 1.3 MP VGA Camera which can capture photos and videos as well which you can share to your friends using Bluetooth. Ego also saves you from having to buy another phone for another sim/network because it's a dual SIM phone ;> I use both Globe and Smart SIM cards in it and it works fine, you just have to get used to seeing two signal bars on your screen.

For those who are into customizing the displays of their phones, you can do that as well with DTC Ego's full color display. You can place your photo on the screen - some buttons are also on the screen as shortcuts to different apps. Since I already own a phone prior to Ego, I usually just leave Ego on for most of the day - battery lasts for more than two days - it will be less though depending on frequency of usage. 

Aside from the features I already mentioned, internet-savvy folks will get outdated since the phone is also capable of internet connection with the use of GPRS! Access your Facebook, Email, Twitter, Messenger with this phone anywhere anytime. The settings are pre-defined already so you'll only need load to access the sites you want. For those who are addicited to games to pass time, Ego is also JAVA-enabled, so you can install games you love. Memory is expandable up to 8GB only. 

Overall, this phone works really well. I like that it's very user friendly and is very light. So if you're planning to get a new phone, consider DTC Mobile.
