Hello Monday! Most would agree that Monday isn't really their favorite day of the week. What with all the work waiting for us in the office or field - it's just sad that the weekend had to end so soon. Good thing for the students out there though. -.-
And because it's the start of work week, I decided to conjure up a work-appropriate look for the office. I always tell my self and even my readers that blazers are great investment pieces when building up a wardrobe - especially for those people who work in the office with strict dress codes. A blazer just like the one I'm wearing can easily transform a printed dress or in my case a shimmery top and a long skirt, into work wear that won't get you any office calls. As evident in my outfit, I contrasted the upper part with a darker skirt - this is to create a balance amid the monotony of beige which is quite dominant. Also due to the fact that it is still summer (hello, May!), I'm bringing out my sunnies - they're the perfect companion when you're always outdoors.
Here's a few style tips to achieving appropriate work-wear that's still as chic:
- If you want to wear a brightly colored pair of pants, go for a top and blazer in a neutral color.
- If you choose pants in khaki, white, nude, gray, navy or black, pair it with a neutral colored inner top and go for that pop of color with your blazer instead. Hope this helps! :)
